Our core leather, known in Italy as Cuoio, is a particularly robust, vegetable-tanned saddle leather with a distinctive character. It is obtained from the firm core layer of the cowhide and is among the most original and durable types of leather available.
The surface is smooth to slightly porous, with a natural texture and visible skin characteristics. Small irregularities, scars, or color variations are deliberately preserved and emphasize the authentic, handcrafted character of this material.
Full-grain leather stands for clarity, honesty, and substance. Over time, it develops a distinctive patina that makes each piece of furniture unique. Cuoio is particularly well-known in the classic furniture and contract furniture sector – for example, for seats, backrests, or armrests of iconic design classics.
